Cost: By Donation
Location: Metta Centre
It’s not unusual for spiritual seekers and meditators to feel confused about their meditation and whether they are making ‘progress’. Some may be concerned whether they need to find a teacher or become overly dependent on a teacher and/or tradition. This course provides an overview of the underlying principles behind Buddhist meditation from an Early Buddhist perspective. Empower yourself to design meditations that work for you and gain confidence from understanding how to measure your own progress.
Day 1: You will learn about the 5 precepts, the 5 blockages, posture and breath, the four faces of love and meditation on the unattractive.
Day 2: You will learn about death meditation, recollection of the 3 treasures, the symbiotic relationships between faith and wisdom, and between serenity and insight.
Please come in loose and conservative clothing (ideally white), and a food offering if you wish to make merit.
Dana food offering to Bhante Jason for his only meal each day starts at 8am
Workshop from 9am to 12noon.
