Italian Retreat Accommodation, The Metta Centre

We can accommodate a maximum of twenty eight guests at The Metta Centre. We provide various packages which are detailed on the "Prices" page of this website. Should your group be larger than twenty eight people we will be happy to arrange accommodation for your additional numbers at the nearby bed and breakfasts,  agriturismos and pensions.

Accommodation at the centre is clean and beautifully simple, with well equipped rooms. Every room is shared two or four guests to a room with en-suite shower, toilet, basin and mirror etc; each room has an opening window with traditional wooden shutters for privacy and shade, and there are glorious views of the surrounding woodland from every window.

Bedding and towels are supplied free of charge but guests are asked to bring their own towels for beach and/or pool use, and we ask that guests bring their own sweat towels if training or taking part in an activity. Bedding and towels are change once weekly.

  • Bedrooms
    All bedrooms at the Villa are en-suite. For sleeping we provide simple and safe adult bunk-beds (with a safety rail and ladder), sheets, pillows and duvets. Extra blankets can be provided. If required the bunk-beds can be broken down into separate singles. Should you wish, a room can be fitted with a double bed (this will be two firmly linked single beds). But please note this service will incur a charge, and we can only arrange this with sufficient notice, and subject to availability. Every bedroom has a table and chairs, and a place to hang clothes. The rooms are cool and comfortable and are in the traditional Marche style of beamed ceilings and cotto tiles. Each room is gas centrally heated.   • Kitchen
    We have a fully equipped kitchen, with everything needed to make delicious meals and snacks. It comprises:

           Ample storage.       

           Commercial sized oven and extractor fan.

           American style fridge freezer.         

           Microwave oven.

           Crockery, cutlery, glasses, saucepans and utensils.
  • Dining Room
    We have a large shaded conservatory, with long dining tables able to seat up to thirty guests at once (perfectly suited to traditional Italian feasts!!!). The two side walls of the conservatory slide open for fresh air and easy access onto the garden and decked areas, where there is:
  • Outdoor Dining
    There are tables, umbrellas and chairs in the gardens, and a barbeque is available. In the evening, guests can eat by candle and torch light.
  • Lounges
    We have three connected lounges at the centre, one of which is fitted with satellite television, video/ D.V.D. player, and music system, and guests are welcome to bring their own music. There are complimentary books, board games, cards, puzzle books, chess and Backgammon sets for the guests to use. There is a small martial arts based book library; again, this is complimentary, but a deposit system is in operation. The other two lounges are comfortably furnished with sofas and coffee tables; there is a pretty cast iron fireplace (wood burning, for the winter evenings) and bookshelves.

Please note that - at present - there are no laundry facilities at the Metta Centre. However, guests are welcome to wash their kit/clothing in their room basins and use the drying lines provided.
