How do we deal with unwholesome thoughts? Bhante Santacitto will offer guidance drawing specifically from the Vitakkasanthāna Sutta in the Pali Canon.

We will explore five approaches described in this sutta to skillfully overcome thoughts.


About the Teacher: Ven. Santacitto was born in Banjarnegara, Central Java, in 1976. He trained as a Sāmaṇera for 15 years spending his time both in Indonesia & Sri Lanka. During that period, he completed his study on Pali and Buddhist Studies at the University of Kelaniya from B.A to Ph.D. Ven. Santacitto received his higher ordination in 2015 under the preceptor (Upajjhaya), Ven. Sukhemo Mahāthera. He is currently residing in Mendut Buddhist Monastery under the guidance of Ven. Sri Paññāvaro Mahāthera and has been entrusted to be the Head of Kertarajasa Buddhist College in Batu, Malang, Indonesia.
