Metta Festival: Celebrating 10 years of Metta

This year’s Metta Festival will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Metta Centre, with Buddhist monastics from various traditions flying in from all around the world to attend this special event. We are expecting about 30+ monastics from different traditions, and about 150-200 participants throughout the day. We hope this event brings the whole community together in celebration of our 10 year anniversary, as well as for the public to participate in meritorious deeds and learn the Dhamma.

We welcome you to join our street almsround (pindapata) from 10am. You can bring cooked rice and packaged food (vegan-friendly preferred) to offer to the monastics, who will walk and receive alms from Deane St, Burwood towards Burwood Park. You can wait anywhere along the red line to offer to the monastics (see map below).

11:15 Monastics arrive at the pavilion, offer Anumodana and short blessings

Accessibility: This event location at Burwood Park is in an open area with accessible pathways and grass areas. Sound will be amplified.
