Ajahn Brahm’s Sydney Tour 2024

Metta Centre and Santi Forest Monastery (https://santifm.org/santi/) are honoured to host Ajahn Brahm for his Sydney tour from 16 to 18 February 2024! We have three days of diverse events, to allow participants to discover the Power of Stillness

We start with an opening event on Friday with a public talk from Ajahn Brahm. We continue exploring the topic on Saturday with a Day of Practice, with Ajahn Brahm leading audiences through guided meditations and talks. Lunch and refreshments will be provided free of charge. Both events are free entry but registration is required for in person attendance. The events will occur in the 1000-seat auditorium at the Western Sydney University, Parramatta South campus. Both events will also be available for participants to join online if they are unable to attend in person.

On Saturday evening, there will be a Gala Fundraising dinner at Crystal Palace in Canley Vale. Guests will have an opportunity to meet with monastics, including Ajahn Brahm, as well as Buddhist friends. We will have cultural performances to showcase the diversity of Buddhism in Australia, an auctions (click here to view items for auction – including several from Bodhinyana Monastery) and raffle prizes, as well as a vegetarian banquet. Tickets are $60 per person to cover costs and any surplus will be donated to Santi Forest Monastery.

On Sunday 18th, we have a one day retreat at Santi Forest Monastery in Bundanoon. This is a unique opportunity to deepen your practice under the guidance of Ajahn Brahm in a retreat setting. This is a free and ticketed event.

Please note: Sunday 18th is a Free event but registration is essential as seats are limited!

This Sydney tour allows participants to learn directly from Ajahn Brahm so as to deepen our own practice of Stillness, as well as to raise awareness for Santi Forest Monastery’s latest project of a Suburban Nuns’ residence in Leumeah. This residence is a place to share Buddhism, care for nuns who are elderly, sick or with disability, and make Buddhism more accessible in the Sydney suburbs. Together, through a series of inspiring events, let’s create a haven that nurtures mindfulness and serenity. Your support is not just a donation; it’s a gesture of kindness that helps build a sanctuary where love and Metta intertwine. You can read more about the project here

This tour is a special event, where Buddhism is shared freely to the public and in support of an excellent cause. We invite you to be a part of the event, and if you wish to make a donation towards the costs associated with the tour as well as to support the suburban nuns’ residence, click here to make your donation (Account Name: Santi Forest Monastery Inc, Account BSB: 012 547, Account Number: 651672695, Swift Code: ANZBAU3M). We thank you for your generosity and may your good merits bring you good health, prosperity and deep stillness.
