This three-week course explores Buddhist practices to deepen our awareness of ourselves, and ways to develop a more loving and understanding relationship with ourselves. In these sessions, we will explore self-talk, self-judgment, self-sabotage, self-blame, self-hate and other unskillful ways in which we relate to ourselves. We will look at how to turn these unskillful practices to skillful ones, so as to deepen our spiritual practice of love, compassion, forgiveness, patience, and appreciation to all beings...including ourselves. Ashtanga Yoga is an ancient practice, passed down through thousands of generations. It is a practice that develops strength and flexibility in body and mind. The fundamentals of Ashtanga Yoga will be taught in these classes with instructions tailored for the class. The classes are small and therefore direct coaching will be provided to assist participants learn this art. Let us take the time to care for ourselves in these two-hour guided meditation practices to restore your lost energy. These sessions include: Lying Down Relaxing Meditation, Slow Walking Meditation, Guided Sitting Meditation, and ending with a short sharing on mindful living and answering any questions that the group may have.
