About the teacher
Bhante Vimalaramsi has practiced meditation for more than 40 years and is a well known Meditation teacher and author. He is interested in practicing meditation by going back to the earliest Buddhist Suttas to find out what the Buddha really taught. He uses the Majjhima Nikaya as his basis for teaching the “Mindfulness of Metta” and the Brahmaviharas, that lead to the realization of Nibbana. He calls this Tranquil Wisdom Insight Meditation (T.W.I.M.). Click here for more information.

By train
There is a train station at Wingello but someone will need to collect you and drive you to Vejjasala which is a few kilometres away, so it may be better to get a lift from another attendee or organisers. The retreat booking forms have an option to nominate that you would like a lift. There are only a few scheduled stops at Wingello per day as it is a small station. You will also need to contact the retreat coordinator to arrange someone to collect you from the station or the nearby Wingello Store.
Note: Wingello station is not wheelchair friendly. View station details. View online timetable (Wingello is at the top, three stops from Goulburn). Timetable in PDF.
