In all traditions of Buddhism there is a strong tradition of teachings and practices related to our innate capacity for love or warm-heartedness. All sentient beings have this tendency towards loving affection. It is an aspect of our fundamental natural state, our Buddha Nature. When fully awakened this capacity for love becomes a boundless radiance that shines equally on all beings, including ourselves. On the relative level, love and kindness are the antidote to sadness, despair and compassion fatigue – emotional states that we know all too well in this current time. In this talk, Pema Düddul will outline contemplations and practices for awakening our innate capacity for warm-heartedness and love as an antidote to sadness, despair and compassion fatigue as well as a pathway to liberation from suffering and Awakening.
